到達目標

M1 Science 1 is an introductory course to the basic principles of chemistry and physics. Throughout this course, students will encounter various topics related to chemistry and physics, and will be encouraged to think critically, creatively and independently in preparation for a deeper study of science in the years to come.

In the first term, students will be introduced to the world of chemistry by learning about the structure of atoms and molecules, and chemical bonds.
The second term will begin with a study of the different kinds of matter, before switching focus to topics in physics such as light, sound, and waves.
The study of physics will continue in term three, where students will learn about forces and pressure.

授業の進め方・学習方法

This course is taught through a combination of classes and laboratory experiments. There will be two hours of classes and one hour of labs per week. Lesson materials are based on translated versions of the domestic Chemistry and Physics textbooks.

担当者からのアドバイス

Pay attention in class and in the laboratory, complete your homework, correct any mistakes you make on tests and quizzes, and stay organized. If you find that some concepts are difficult to grasp, feel free to ask for help from your teacher or your classmates.

These few things will help you succeed in Science 1. Good luck!
