到達目標

This is a certified AP course, and it follows the AP chemistry curriculum prescribed by College Board.

To join this course, students must have already completed the H1 Advanced Chemistry course. If students complete the course and pass the AP exam (receive a grade of 3, 4, or 5 out of 5), students may be eligible for college credit if they enter a university in the United States.

The syllabus below is based on the AP Chemistry Course and Exam Description booklet (linked at the bottom of this page).

授業の進め方・学習方法

This course combines theoretical study, practical exercises, and laboratory work at the level of a university introductory chemistry course. Students who complete the class will gain a deeper understanding of chemistry, develop skills with advanced laboratory equipment, and learn to design and carry out their own experiments.

担当者からのアドバイス

-Come prepared to classes: finish readings, watch assigned videos, and complete tasks on time.
-Participate meaningfully: your questions, ideas, and insights are important.
-Be respectful, honest, and kind to others and to yourself as a learner.
-Listen actively and attentively during lessons.
-If something doesn’t make sense, ask! I'm available after school or during lunch to help.
-Review your notes regularly. Chemsitry builds on itself, and old concepts will return!
