到達目標

This is a certified AP course that follows the AP Biology curriculum prescribed by the College Board.
To enrol in this course, students must have completed an advanced biology course or obtain permission from the instructor. Students who successfully complete the course and pass the AP Exam (with a score of 3, 4, or 5 out of 5) may be eligible to receive college credit if they attend a university in the United States.

授業の進め方・学習方法

This course combines theoretical study, practical activities, and laboratory work, all at the level of a university introductory biology course. Students who complete the class will develop a deeper understanding of biology, gain valuable laboratory experience, and have the opportunity to design and conduct their own experiments.
Students are expected to complete much of their studying independently and use class time to ask questions and engage with new material. Please note that in-class review time will be limited, as the course is fast-paced.

The syllabus below is based on the AP Biology Course and Exam Description booklet (linked at the bottom of this page).

担当者からのアドバイス

-Come prepared to classes: finish readings, watch assigned videos, and complete tasks on time.
-Participate meaningfully: your questions, ideas, and insights are important.
-Be respectful, honest, and kind to others and to yourself as a learner.
-Listen actively and attentively during lessons.
-If something doesn’t make sense, ask! I'm available after school or during lunch to help.
-Review your notes regularly. Biology builds on itself, and old concepts will return!
